Nancy, we figured it out. Turns out it's a female Rose Breasted Grosbeak.

If there's a beer you want me to "try" for you before you buy let me know and I'll see if I can get it and review it for you.

The mystery bird could be a Rose Breasted Grosbeak or something similar. I saw one of those the other day at our feeders. Pretty, and somewhat funny looking, bird.

The Red Headed Woodpeckers are just beautiful aren't they? I love seeing them at our feeders in Cary, NC. Now, if I could see a Baltimore Oriole I would be set!

I think your brown bird is some type of sparrow, probably chipping, but don't know what you mean by white dots on the wings. But, never fear, check out the other birders such as Birder Chick, Twin Beaks (the blogger answers questions asked by the commenters) and Julie Zickelfoose. If you don't see your bird in those blogs, just go right ahead and call your local Auduboners. They'll gladly help. Great to hear about your other blog. Tonight it's Stella Artois for me. Ta Ta! :) Nancy O.
