Mikael,

The Carolina Wren is a neat little bird. We really enjoy them at our feeders. Glad 2009 is starting off well for you!

I walked out of the house a bit after dawn and it was a few minutes before I saw or heard any bird. Then a Carolina Wren broke the silence and brought a smile to my face.

We get a lot of bluebirds in the Winter, sometimes we have 5 or six on the feeders at once! They are very pretty birds and really add to the pleasure of watching the feeders.

As posted on my blog, my first bird of 2009 was a cold looking American Robin perched high in the ginkgo tree which is next to a holly tree — so probably thinking about getting a bite to eat.

I envy you the bluebird -- I've never seen one in my yard.
